Thanx m8 :)

by vivid666 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:38 pm

the font was (degrassi) m8

by Maxx » Mon Mar 01, 2010 6:59 pm

Thanx guys for the help i will give this another go i think the Retro bit looks rubbish now but i still like the Remakes bit so i will try doing that again i will opst an update soon.

@vivid666 what font did you use m8??

by ubl6612 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 4:29 pm

the main thing is to have the same focus on the wall and the text. In you case you need to blur the text.

by bazzah » Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:15 am

As the others have said, and vivid demonstrated. A mixture of layer effects and opacity. Also blur the text slightly, to represent the ink bleeding into the wall.

by vivid666 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:07 am

here is something i knocked up quickly prob not as good as the master designers but this is just with overlay and some blur added to it like what was stated above its trial and error but with a bit of messing arround may produce better results

by Kernie » Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:00 am

Try messing with different blend modes... it's the drop-down list next to the Opacity slider in the PS Layers Palette.

Default Blend Mode is "Normal," but try changing it to "Multiply" or "Overlay," "Hard Light," or something... it'll take some trial and error so try all the options, but it might give you slightly better results than just messing with the opacity. :D :D :D

Hope this helps...

Have you tried a combination of both?

by Jpeg » Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:49 pm

the opacity helps, but I don't think you'll get it to look like it's on the wall because of the gloss and bevel

by Maxx » Sun Feb 28, 2010 8:31 pm

@MrHenryDog i have reduced the opacity what do you think??
