I think it is a stupid idea, just shows how desperate they really are... I wouldn't mind if the artist got the credits for it but that is just stupid what they are doing... when i recieved the email i was quite annoyed that they would do something like that.

Sounds like they are going to become the new cdcovers. Please refer to Fubsters comment several posts up. We DO have rules in place here, that state you can not upload covers you have downloaded from here, to other sites, unless you have the permission of the creator. The whole reason for this rule, is to protect the artists that upload here, as it is their choice where they wish to share their art.

So, anyone caught doing this WILL receive a warning, and then if they continue to do break this rule, they will be banned.

I have just noticed the cover in question on their site has been credited to me.

But how many more are there? Do I have to go through them all? It will not stop and there is no way to police it.
But we should not sit silently and let it happen. If we keep making noises then maybe they might think twice, before upsetting too many folk.

More from the same i'm afraid.

That's why i only upload my work at two sites (with all the respect some other sites still deserve from me): here and at MR.

And i really think they will continue doing this, even if we ban a couple of members.
So i guess there's no way to stop them.

It is very clear that they have absolute disregard for the rules of other sites and obviously no morals. ... And to hell with the community.

I only upload my covers here. (with the odd one or two elsewhere). If my covers are found any where else it is because they have been taken without consent.
So much for creating for exclusivity. Paahh!
