DVD-cover SCANNING TUTORIAL by hippo99I offer you a brief and simple guide on how to give you nice results - with just a few clicks.
My equippment:
Scanner:
Canon CanoScan LiDE 70Program:
CanoScan Toolbox 5.0Settings: use scanner-driver
Advanced Mode
Input Settings (Eingabe-Einstellungen)
- Color Mode (Farbmodus) Color(Documents) (Farbe (Dokumente))
Output Settings (Ausgabe-Einstellungen)
- Output Resolution (Ausgabeauflösung) 300 dpi
Image Settings (Bildeinstellungen)
all settings OFF except:
- Descreen (Entrastern) ON
- Fading Correction (Farbkorrektur) Low (Niedrig)
- Grain Correction (Bildglättung) Low (Niedrig)
- Backlight Correction (Gegenlichtkorrektur) Low (Niedrig)
- Gutter Shadow Correction (Bundstegschattenkorrektur) Low (Niedrig)
Now you can scan your DVD-cover.
After this, you can do some corrections with a software like PhotoShop.
I used
ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5.
http://www.arcsoft.com/support/downloads/d...on.asp?title=15This is easy to use and does what it should.
1) crop the borders (Can easily done with
MicroSoft Paint by selecting all and moving to top left corner, then cropping right and lower borders)
2) Tools Palette:
- use Magic Wand Tool:
click on white backgrounds -> press DEL on keyboard
click on black backgrounds -> fill with black (RGB = all 255)
...et voilà ! Now you should have created a decent scan of your original cover, with very little effort.
Good luck on your creations
