I would like to thank everyone for their kind compliments and really constructive tips. Thanks for spending the time to share your expertise. I'm always trying to learn and improve my photoshop skills when I can find the time. :)

As Manwe said, try turning the brightness and contrast up to maximum on your monitor. The problem with black levels being wrong like these, is printers will pick it up really bad, so the printed result will look terrible. Thanks for listening to the guys ;)

Hello kylumi, thanks for taking the time to analyze my cover. I really appreciate the constructive comments. I couldn't see the spot on my monitor but I have redone the black with levels and it should be okay now. I just tried to clone the spot out before but I think now, by using levels it is gone and the black is even throughout the cover. Your comments are always welcome. Thank you.

hello miang buddy........

i got at least 4 shades of black showing on my monitor.............can you see it on yours in this example and can you also still see the black spot at the top of the spine?

:thumb:

Yes, all the scans are my own. I am sorry I overlooked the black spot on Breaking News. I reworked it a bit and replaced the original file. Please have a look again, kylumi.

breaking news has a lot of bad black stuff going on ..................particularly around the spine and crossing over into the features and synopsis box........
There is also a great big black spot opposite the P in PALM

The 2nd movie is a really good scan
