Have you adjusted any brush settings? Try selecting the default soft brush and see if that does anything?

It could be something to do with your graphics card or monitor. But as long as the saved result in fine :thumb:

Everything works fine at home, just something at my work computer.

I tried unchecking all these boxes

looks fine

Could it be anything to do with the graphic processor settings, in Preferences - Performance?

by wesleyv » Wed Aug 07, 2024 7:05 pm

Mine is also updated recently. Ill check my personal laptop today which isn't updated.

I have issues too with the brush tool, since the last update from Adobe.
I don't have answers yet
:notsure:

by bazzah » Wed Aug 07, 2024 4:52 pm

I don't know why that would be. Maybe someone else with more expertise can help.

by wesleyv » Wed Aug 07, 2024 3:57 pm

Hmm, and when I export the file to a jpeg, and open the jpeg, it looks normal and doesn't have the weird edges.

by wesleyv » Wed Aug 07, 2024 3:56 pm

Yeah it's the basic brush and no settings are checked. I also noticed when I change the levels of a photo and start crushing the blacks slightly that the dark areas get the same artifacts and jagged look. That's why I figured it could be some sort of profile or color setting?
