The status of "The Orville" is that season 4 is in the works and expected to begin pre-production in 2025. While there's no official confirmation from Hulu or creator Seth MacFarlane, Scott Grimes, who plays Gordon Malloy, confirmed the news.

I never liked Family Guy etc, they just weren't my cup of tea. So I never thought I would like The Orville. But I agree, he should concentrate on newer stuff :p

The show is great! I too was apprehensive when it first came out. How can a 'star trek' series be a comedy? But it works so well :)

According to tvseriesfinale.com, as of June 24, 2024, The Orville has not been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season.

Hope it comes back. I thought it was silly at first, but watched all 3 seasons, and liked it. :D
