Aside from CTRL + S to save my work regularly, this is the most common shortcut I use.
Sauron showed us about using the numerical keys to adjust the opacity of layers, but you can also use them to change the opacity of your selected tool.
So while you have a tool selected, that has an adjustment slider available on top of your work space, you can change the percentage by using your numerical keys. So if you have a brush, gradient tool, eraser, burn tool etc selected, press a numerical key. If you press 1, it will set it to 10%, 2 20%, 3 30% etc. If you press two numbers in quick succession, you can select a more accurate percentage. So pressing 1 then 2 will give you 12%, 5 and 6 56% etc. 0 will select 100%
