I've know about the [ and ] keys and the shift option but never new you could use the mouse with the alt key. Both great tips.

I have always used this method for brush size, and all this time I didn't know you could go up and down for hardness :lol:

That’s how I do it as well, that was actually going to be my next tip haha

I use the alt key for that.

With the Brush Tool selected: Hold alt + right mouse button, then move the mouse.

left = decrease the brush size
right = increase the brush size
forward = softer
backwards = harder

When you have a brush selected if you press the [ key your brush will be reduced in size and if you press the ] key your brush will get bigger but here's where the cool tip comes in.

If you hold Shift and press [ your brush will get softer and if you hold shift and press ] your brush will get harder.
