These aren't useful tips or tricks but cool little things Adobe has hidden within Photoshop.
Banana Toolbar:
Go to Edit -> Toolbar or click on ... in your toolbar.
[attachment=43796:banana_t...r_step_1.jpg]
A new pop-up will show, here you can re-arrange your toolbar if you wish to.
[attachment=43797:banana_t...r_step_2.jpg]
Whilst holding shift click on Done - now you have a banana in your toolbar.

If you want to revert it back to normal, open up the Customise Toolbar menu again and hold Ctrl/Cmd and click on Done.
Toast & Coffee:
In Photoshop preferences you can change the shades of the colour theme to coffee or toast.
If you want toast to show, press Ctrl/Cmd + K, this will bring up the preferences, click on Interface on the left.

Now hold Shift and Alt/Opt and click on the colour swatches and it will change to toast.

If you want coffee to display instead, follow the steps above but instead of pressing Shift and Alt/Opt, hold Shift and Ctrl/Cmd and click on a colour swatch.

Layer Comps Monkey:
Go to Window -> Layer Comps and create a new layer comp and click OK.
[attachment=43802:layer_co...onkey_01.jpg]
Now rename the layer to Layer Monkey 0 and instead of the default icon for Layer Comps a little monkey will appear.
[attachment=43803:layer_co...onkey_02.jpg]
To get rid of the monkey, just rename the layer comp and it will revert back to the default icon.
