You can try drawing a selection around the area you want removed and doing a “Content-Aware Fill.†Adobe’s AI will examine the surrounding pixels and use that info to remove pixels that are different from the rest. The problem with this method is that you’re relying on the software to do the thinking, and the results can be mixed.
The best way to do it is probably what you’re already doing, but you have to have a bit more patience. I usually put on some music, zone out, zoom in, and start cloning.
