It bugs me, too. The front arose from a "need" to combine Kim Novak's silhouette, the bridge, and Jimmy Stewart lifting her out of the water. The pieces
had to fit together. The back was just trial and error to build something somewhat matching ("It should be based around Jimmy Stewart... what other elements can go here?"). Shape-wise and content-wise, it felt like the best piece to include out of what was available but never really formed into more than that.
