Maybe bring the tt back to the centre of the cover and straight instead of the angle.

Nice work so far.

The switched characters look better. I'd even mirror Louis so they're looking the same direction (you need to stamp away the beadge on his shoulder then and replace the yellow/blue badge with the black one).

You can add some dark smoke and debris behind your explosions on the ground to make them more visable and realistic.

Tagline works for me - just a bit smaller. ;)

Personally I'm not a fan of the new TT, think it worked better before.

Like this Monster... you may be right. :-)

Fidi, I removed the tag for now, fixed that one explosion, messed with the clouds a little, I may need to do more, reduced the metal texture a lot and added grain AND I messed with the original TT from the poster more to make it more like #22.

Nice update, it's getting better and better.

- The size of the tagline's letter is to big in my opinion and the italic effect isn't working for me
- Just as your metal texture - it's worth a try removing it
- the explosions are looking good to me - only the one on the right could use some more detail (it has less detail than the other ones but it's the nearest to the viewer)
- The clouds behind the title could use some more detail as well - use some cloud brushes with one or two different bright tones of grey to get that
- I'd go back to the title of #22 - the angle of your update looks very, very strange to me compared to the perspective of all other elements of your front ;)

Just playing with tagline, I'm not sure if I want it in or out. I like a texture, but I agree, not sure if I love that one. Those explosions take longer than they should! I didn't get to any of your suggestions just yet, but I did want to show how the old TT from the original poster (just google it) could look.

Over the next few days I'll do some more work!

Thanks for the explosions Fidi, these will definitely be helpful in the future.

Here's where I left off late last night:

I've been trying different F-16 images because in the movie they never had the two large external fuel tanks and I want it to be fairly accurate. However I love that view of the plane so I just removed them. I also did...

- Added the old style TT but in a metallic look. I'm not loving this texture, but the logo slant is unique which I do like. I'm going to work on the TT some more and see where that goes.
- Started to add a long white reflection to the logo but didn't finish it. I may try and make it look like the TT is zooming along, or that's what I had in mind.
- Made the main characters a little larger
- Moved the F-16 fully behind the logo
- Forgot to switch the TT on the spine but I won't worry about that until I land on a finall TT
- Played with the HUD layout but I think I should have left it cause I think it works very well in the last version.

I think I may focus on the back cover for a couple weeks and leave this alone for a while to get a away from it. Then I can come back and get a fresh look at it... we'll see.

Here's the PSD file: fire & explosions

It's size is about 40 MB so I don't know if there's a way to put it in the gallery?

This is shaping up very well
