JR, you and I have talked to some lengths beyond this site over the years. I haven't been around much. But know this, you and the rest of this community are still dear to me. You need to reach out, don't you ever hesitate bro.

Sorry to hear about your loss JR

by Kernie » Fri Jul 22, 2016 7:50 pm

Just wanted to extend my condolences to JR. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy to lose a loved one, especially a parent.

As someone who has lost both of his parents, I know how time consuming, stressful, and heartbreaking the entire experience can be. Thanks for taking the time to judge, although I don't think anyone would blame you for excusing yourself from it. Real life always comes first and I wish you all the best moving forward and taking care of all of the legal matters... and make sure to tell your mom how much she means to you (I wish I still could). :D :D :D

Chin up Jrr :) I appreciate you taking the time you have to judge. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't find the time to judge at all at the moment!

If you do ever feel like adding your comments, we can always add them later :)

Hehe, maybe i should have skipped a line after this part "I'm curious, is JR commenting on these?", or explained myself better. Anyways, it wasn't meant directed at you buddy, sorry for that.

Well, when you mention my name, I do tend to take it personal, lol.

However, a quick FYI - JR didnt leave comments, due to personal matters irl would have helped.

JollyRoger wrote:QUOTE (JollyRoger @ Jul 22 2016, 09:13 AM) I have some scribbled notes on each cover; however already being late, I didn't take the time type them, before sending my scorecard in. Also I've had a lot going on irl with my dad dying, and thus I've been busy helping out my mom sorting through legal stuff.

I did not merely put in some random numbers, but actually did take my time, nitpicking each entry, and had a choice to make - with my limited time, I would rather spend the time actually looking over the entries meticulously, rather than spending it typing some comments based on a rushed look at each entry. I hope you all understand my choice.
We thank you for your effort Jakob, I'm very sorry to hear the sad news about your dad that's a tough loss and you are correct it requires a lot of time and effort on the part of the surviving family to get things in order after.

As to the second I can assure no one would think that you would do less than your best in the evaluations.

:)

Well that's very understandable, I just wanted to know if your thoughts was going to be added. I was talking more of giving feedback as a whole, and not necessarily directed at you. Altho in this case it might seem so. I just feel that if you're gonna be a judge, then you should do your best to provide the proper feedback for the hard work and effort the participants have given. Again this is not directed at you, it's just my opinion on what being a judge is about. I completely understand that you have a lot more important stuff to deal with now & I'm very sorry for your loss, buddy.

I'm curious, is JR commenting on these? I don't really see the point of just giving a score, without no explanation what so ever. It's also very interesting to read what the judges pick up on.
Unfortunately JR was away on vacation, so had to rush his scorecard to get it to me.
