Agree with the above points :)

Seing we have members of this exclusive club, that fares to other cover sites, besides HiRes and thus is better qualified than me for instance (I rarely venture outside HiRes) to spot stolen covers. Since I don't see other sites' artwork some bad dude could easily slip the uploads past me as his/her own work, as we have seen done here in the past. Better to have a thread too many here - than have culprits distribute stolen covers at our site.

Just a cent or two. :)

point taken, but i thought thats what the mods did when they approved a cover, after all, they still have to keep uploading and no-one sees those covers. anyway, I dont want to take NRs power away from him

Good point, only I think it's good to have a thread like this. For example: maybe someone will recognise the name and see that he's uploading stuff from somebody els or recognising covers from someone els that without this thread would slip through?

I still cant see the point of voting for contributor, if the have enough covers to qualify why not make it automatic as there really isnt anything to vote about?
