looks like you still have XX as runtime

Looking good but just a couple of things.

- On the stills, the image blending on the far left image and the one next to it could be a bit better as it is over lapping the guy. Maybe even add a couple of pictures to it as they do seem quite big at the moment.
- Make the spacing between the lines of the synopsis smaller so it fits better.
- Also turn hyphenating off for the synopsis.
- I think that you should do something with all the black on the back? Check out Kernies collection for some ideas.

I made some small changes on this and now I'm moving on to Fight Club. My personal favourite of all time!

:iamwithstupid:

what he said :) Keep it up.

As for the template - it's just the Swedish releases that sport these humongeous templates - we have the same problem in Denmark. They can be even worse tho for the movies distributed in all the Nordic countires - then you'd have 4 age ratings, 4 synopsis' aso... Now - that's a bugly template!!! :D

What Kernie said.
Also i think you could try the synopsis with a smaller size and perhaps the top tag in two lines like this:

Seven Deadly Sins,
Seven Ways to Die.

All the text right justified.

by Kernie » Fri Jan 07, 2011 7:45 pm

It's almost there!

I like the list of the 7 deadly sins under the still strip, but since this is going to be a series of Fincher films, do you have ideas for what you'll put there for the other films?

Nice level adjustments on the images, but did you try to change the hues to match a bit better?

I don't mind the gray behind the spec block, but I still think you could make it flat black, or an even darker gray. My eye is drawn to that spec block right away when I look at the back. I also sometimes make all the white legal text a shade of gray when I have a black or dark background, so that the legals don't become a focal point, allowing the stuff above it to be a little more eye-catching.

But if you're satisfied with it, that's all that matters. :D :D :D

I'm pretty satisfied with this now!

Well, with that amount of recos from kernie, there is nothing left to add :)

Yeah, sorry... I talk (err.. type) a lot... :D

Look forward to seeing the next update!

Turn off the "box background" layer (the red color behind the spec box) and just let it be transparent onto the black behind it. The red is really distracting.

Also, you should find something to put in those blank, empty spaces above and below the credit block. Maybe even increase the pt. size of the credit block text and try to spread it onto a fifth line (although that might be too much). You might even want to slide the credit block down and maybe try to squeeze it a short list of Special Features. I'm not sure what, but it needs something because there's too much empty space in the legals area at the moment.

For the picture of Brad Pitt on the back, does the actual image crop off at the edge of your cover or could you slide him over a bit so that the side of his eye isn't right on the edge of cover? The blurred gun and hand can go behind the synopsis a little. It's already blurry, it's not like we really need to see it, Pitt's face is the focal point of the picture.

I'd also recommend trying some hue adjustments on all the pics (Pitt/Freeman on the front, Pitt-gun on the back) so that they all have a similar color tone. The front pics are very red/magenta and the back pic is yellow/green. It might help if the colors matched a bit more.

And I think the front pics (because they're probably Blu-ray screen grabs) could use a Level adjustment to brighten the highlights and midtones a little. They're slightly washed-out.

It's come a long way since your first post!! Keep up the good work!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
