You need to have Photoshop CS2 to shape tekst inside a path.
If you have CS1 ore lower, you only can attache tekst to a path, not inside.

Ok i got it to work in cs

1st thing, when i create a custom shape path with the pen tool and want to apply the tekst tool to it, it doesn't work chin.gif

The only way to get a custom shape, is to create a rectangular shaped path with the regtangle tool
and shape that with the direct selection tool into the shape i want and then apply the tekst tool to it yawn.gif
Man thats just weird,

its weird in cs2 it works fine and in photoshop 8 at work it also works fine, but with cs it just won't work with custom shapes only with predefined shapes chin.gif

No need for that Mr HD,
like Skally said it will work from Photoshop 5 or 6 and above only there are some Photoshop version like my cs
, that have a bug and won't shape tekst inside a custom shape.

so the tutorial is great and will work for most users
, although some might encounter the same problem as me.

Hey so far the tutorial link that MrHenryDog has supplied is the easiest to follow, but i am still having trouble. When i go to type in the shape my cursor still wont change which wont allow me to create my text in the paths workspace, is there another way that this can be achieved?
I hope i am making myself clear.

Thank you for the help ^-^
