hi gutterballs,

i have to admit, i didn't check out all of your submissions. but i did look at a few of them.

Ocean's Thirteen
wouldn't see credit logos on the front cover. image is prolly from a poster, but i would take em out.
i would re-type the stars names on the front to sharpen it up a bit. text on the rest of the cover is nice and sharp.
i personally wouldn't make the spine TT the same width as the spine, but that's just me.
you could use some new logos.

Madonna: The Confessions Tour
spine is too thin and not centered, back and front covers not sized properly.
logos on the spine are too big.
text is too close to the edge.

Pearl Harbor - The Director's Cut
again the cover isn't proportioned correctly. back and front covers aren't sized properly, spine is not sized properly and not centered.
logos on the spine are too big. also there are diff shades of black and some pixilation around the logos on the back.
personally, i don't like the justification for the synopsis.

all in all, you have some really cool ideas, but just lack the resources to make some outstanding custom covers. technically, you could use some help too (a good template, some hi-res studio logos, maybe a couple of fonts, etc., etc.).
you're almost there, just need a little fine tuning. don't give up though, you've got a lot of potential!

Wow.. But what did you REALLY think? Jeez... No, this is good. Feedback helps me rove and obviously I got a lot of work to do. When you say the images are not sized properly, what do you mean? They are wrong on the layout? Not centered? I am not quite sure I get it. And the spine images should be cenetered, I used the centering option in the program, but maybe I'll have to check that more closely. Thanks for the feedback.

Some sound advice there from Lou. It's really good of you to take the time to look over all those covers Lu! thumb.gif

Hi gutterballs - Unfortunately this time you have not managed to qualify for contributor status. I think it would be a good idea to throw some stuff up in the WIP, just to polish off your covers. Keep up the good work thumb.gif
