It's been a while and many movies have been watched. So for you Baz, I finally got around to watch the Barbie movie.
Barbie (2023)5/10 - The "barbie" parts of the film were fine, but the "story behind" how barbie came to "the real world" was just not for me and dragged my rating way down, i just thought it was plain stupid. An okay movie that I'll most likely will never watch again.
Bound (1996) 7/10 - I actually didn't expect too much from this movie, but i certainly got a pleasant surprise, it wasn't as straight forward as I first thought and it had some great twist. If you haven't watched it yet, i'd recommend you to give it a go.
King of New York (1990)6/10 - It was a good movie all around. I did however expect a little bit more from it, after seeing the cast and reading what the plot was about. I would recommend anyone who hasn't watched it yet to give it a go tho.
Hit Man (2023) 7/10 - It was a great comedy to watch with a fresh plot. I've never seen a movie or tv show before where someone acts like a hitman to take down the bad guys. For me it was really refreshing to watch.
Oppenheimer (2023)7/10 - To make it clear, I knew nothing about Oppenheimer before watching this movie, so I had no idea what to expect except that he developed the atomic bomb (was cool and a nice surprise to see one of my favorite Norwegian actors in the movie as well). The movie itself was pretty good, but I wasn't too keen on the the story being based of some jealousy. This might have been the case in "the real world", but it did drag it a little bit down for me.
Trap (2024)6/10 - I was very excited about this movie after first seeing the trailer, finally a movie about a serial killer where we get to see how he lives his "ordinary" life and how he hides it from his family. I was hoping to see a bit more of how he came about to become a serial killer and also a bit of action from before the "fake concert", but sadly it was almost no back story and nothing about past victims and so on. Also some parts were a bit stupid where the singer locks her self in the bathroom and so on.
X (2022)5/10 - I liked how the film was shot and most of it (if not all) was/would have been plausible, but the main reason for the killings were just idiotic imo, that's why I only gave it a 5/10.
Bloodline (2018)6/10 - A good movie about a guy killing "bad guys" trying to make the life of some kids better, but most of the time turns out to make their lives worse. It's by no means a "smart movie" I mean, killing three bad guys that are students that you counsel, can you make it any more obvious? And also, the way the bodies are buried, like come on.. Still tho, all in all good/okay movie or in other words, a fine watch.
I've also watched many more recently (1 - 3 movies a day ) but this will have to do for now.

Yeah, just not Batman!
Hehe, yeah!
Suburbicon (2017) 5/10 - This is what I consider a very kind rating. I'm still not sure what the movie was really about, if it was about an insurance scheme or racism.
Spoiler Block
So, the film is starting of with Matt Damon (main character), his wife, their son & the wife's sister. Suburbicon is a full "white" neighborhood and considered to be a safe place, bla bla.. One day an African family moves in next door, which everyone is against and they want them gone. Matt's wife is stuck in a wheelchair after she got injured during a car accident (we didn't get to see) and she blames Matt for it (he was the driver) Now Matt and his sister in law has hired a couple of thugs to come in one night and kill his wife, making it look like a robbery gone wrong. Now while this whole scheme goes on, the people of Suburbicon becomes more and more racist against the African family, trying to drive them out of town. Now, these two main things the movie is about, doesn't seem to be connected in any way and it leaves me confused about why the racism is in the movie or why the scheme is. I might just be stupid and not get the point of connection here, but if that's the case, it must be really well hidden.
Clooney should really just stick to acting if this is the stuff he comes up with, he was miles better as Batman than what the plot of this movie is and that's saying something!

Bump and:
Road House (2024) 6/10 - This was not at all what I thought it would be, after watching the trailer for this movie, i thought it would be something along the lines of Southpaw (2015) and not a guy being a bouncer. All in all I liked the movie, but there were some parts that could have been better. Connor didn't help the movie at all, his over the top acting just didn't feel right at any part of the movie (other than him being nuts). The plot to me is a bit stupid as some of the scenes are quite clear animated (3D). I kinda feel sorry for Jake who I thought did a phenomenal job and I really liked his character. It's worth a watch if you like fight scenes, but one watch is enough.
Mindcage (2022) 4/10 - This movie started out pretty decent, it had in interesting story and it kinda dragged you in as the killings went on.
Spoiler Block
However, the first thing I said to myself was that Martin is the killer, it just felt like that would be the way this movie would go. The way he was the killer tho, really dragged this movie waaaaay down for me (4 is a kind rating). I mean, come on. You draw someones face and all of a sudden you can control them for an amount of time. This just ruined the whole movie for me and If i knew that was the way it ended I would have never watched it.
MaXXXine (2024) 6/10 - Just finished watching this movie, since it wasn't more than about a week ago I watched X, I was intrigued to see what this (more hyped) movie was about. I think it was a really good movie in the beginning, but then end (or close to the end) was very disappointing. I've never read up on this Maxine character before, but from my understanding she's based of a true story?
Spoiler Block
This movie would have been a lot better if it went a long the normal serial killer route and not the "praise the lord" kind of way, the whole thing to me was just stupid as well as the private detective seeming to be pretty useless.
If you have nothing else to watch and are into slasher type movies then feel free to give it a go.

The original Road House isn't a chick flick I liked the new version, except for Connor. As you said, he was just too over the top, and a terrible actor. Jake was brilliant.

Reason why I haven't seen it and probably will never. I don't like Connor as a person, and certainly don't want to see him in any movies. Is he a big part in this movie?

He has a few scenes, but I personally think you would be missing out on an entertaining movie. I had read before I saw the it, that Connor was pretty shocking. So I was prepared and enjoyed the film

I've also read it before by Bazzah's review You can just expect him to do his silly walk through out the whole movie and act like a totally idiot. He's like the "baddest" bad guy, so you won't see him until around mid film.

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) 5/10 - This movie has a good plot that is historically relevant, the acting especially from Lily Gladstone is brilliant, but it felt just so dragged out. There's loads that could (and probably should) have been cut. After about 1,5 hours i started to get bored and looked at my phone a few times and when going in to the final hour, I was just looking at the watch waiting for it to end. I would have easily given it at least a 7 out of 10, but it was just way too dragged out for me.
