Here I thought we could share our first cover we ever made/uploaded to the site, next to our latest and also what you consider to be your best/favorite cover. I can start to get the ball rolling.

An absolutely horrible cover, it's quite clear that I hardly knew what I was doing. I remember being really happy with that red thing behind the screens that I managed to create lol.gif

Definitely not what I consider to be my best work, but still not as bad as the one above, I didn't really find the resources I needed to make the cover I was going for, but this was the closest I got.

This is what I consider to be my best work, with the one I made for the first movie right next to it, I think it's the longest time I've ever spent on a cover and a lot of work went into it, trying to compete with the best designers here ain't easy as the level of quality is insanely high. This one got 3rd place btw.

Thanks Bazzah and ripley for the inspiration 8834.gif

You have become one fantastic artist. My first cover is so bad, I almost quit but saw inspiration from Pam and decided to try again.

My favourite of your covers in the gallery is Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)

And my least favourite of your is Salt tongue.gif

The worst cover I have made, has to be Alfie, made back in 2006.

The cover that I put the most time into, and it was a ridiculous amount of time too, is Avengers: Infinity War. Cutting out all of those characters, colouring them and trying to get the light right etc was sooooo long.

And my personal best has to be The Fate of the Furious. I really enjoyed making this one, and I am happy how it turned out.

+1, you're supposed to post your art buddy 8834.gif
PS: Thanks Baz, and hahaha on that back image on top of the characters head as well as the text all over his face lol.gif
I'm feeling you when it comes to your Avengers cover, but I must say it was worth it. The cover looks fantastic and is up there with the best of them, the same goes for the Fast & Furious cover, it looks truly stunning and I might agree with it being your best cover. I do however wanna shout out these covers as I think they are all stunning masterpieces!

OMG you guys put so much effort and time on your covers, wow! I'm quite the opposite. There is no way that I would spend hours, and hours on just one cover. My level of patience would never allow me this, lol

If you are talking about the first cover on Photoshop, below is probably one of my first one. I did a lot of crappy covers with other software until I met Curt and he practically "forced" me to learn Photoshop... ok maybe not forced but "strongly" suggested. wink.gif With that said, he helped me a lot to improve myself although he understood very quickly that I would never spend a huge amount of time on a cover, therefore I would never be the master designer he would have liked me to be. I do mostly TV Series, so it's basically always symmetrical designs with not much thinking outside the box.

So "OJ Made in America" was one of my first attempt at Photoshop and the best of my worst 8824.gif

My favorite TV Series that I made might be for "The Walking Dead", but nothing out of this world sort of speak. I never watched one single episode of this series but made them for Foggy and also was requested by my oldest son who loved that show.

P.S. Show us that cover Kev, chop chop!! 8824.gif

I don’t have many of earliest covers anymore. The oldest of my work on this site is far better than my earliest attempts (even tho horrible, haha)

As for my best cover I cannot choose. Some I still pull down from the shelf to look at and feel the satisfaction I felt upon finishing them back when.

Made these back in 2010 with the horrible Leaf cover as my first. I just knew I nailed it with the knives on the other cover. Simply horrific. I have you all beat with the worth cover of all. lol

These are some of my latest designs. I'm more fond of the Disney covers, as it took me some time making the template. I think it came out okay.

I would say these are my fav designs. I took a bit more time designing the Wicked cover. The hardest part was the cutouts ofc but I'm happy with how they all turned out.

These are very nice, Jolly. Hard to choose the best, as I think they all are exceptional. Your early cover is far better then my first. Thanks for sharing.

@JR, That looks like the best early cover so far, really brilliant work for an early cover bud icon_mad.gif. For me, your best cover has to be Watchmen, I still remember when you worked on it in the W.I.P 8834.gif

Also wanna shout out Harry Potter, I really like how all the elements are laid out on the book cover.

21 bridges really show how far you have come as a designer, really solid work! Front and back really compliment each other - in the way a true master piece should!

As far as the covers of mine you put some light on, I am mighty proud of the praise, but choosing I had some reservations - I still think the heavy colours of especially the back of Watchmen are too strong and should have been toned down some.
Harry Potter is something I was very satisfied with at the time; I just think I made other stronger designs on the covers I showed. On all of the showcased pieces of mine, including yours, I remember the many hours put into them. I think The Untouchables took me more than a year chasing down pictures, lol. But very satisfying to get that old movie poster look just right. The excruciating hours spent on Titanic for that BR3 comp.

There’s a lot to unpack since my last post. Very popular thread. 8824.gif

JR, I really love your cover for “True Grit”, wow. You need to move into the house with the Mac, seriously! Lol

Kev, well those first covers just simply made me laugh, sorry my friend, lol – And also, without a doubt, I love your Disney covers, always did! I love everything you do, but these are my favorites. I think you should be promoted to a level more than a simple “Cover Designer”. Just throwing it out there… wink.gif

Clint is the one that surprised me the most when I saw the cover that he did with Wys “The Croods”. Love that cover! You have talent that I didn’t know before.

And finally, Baz. I think you have just as much talent as my mentor. Hope he doesn’t see this post, lol

This is my cover for “The Walking Dead – Season 11” that I did as a request here. Like I said, nothing to brag about, but I made it with love, lol

I also did all 3 seasons of “Deadwood” as a request at EFX which came out good.

And finally, this was the last cover that I posted yesterday.
