Akira Kurusawa's master pieces, finally out in 4K.
I give you a Replica Custom cover of these classic Criterion Collection movies - Yojimbo / Sanjuro (1961/1962). I did see Jazz already made a custom, so this is as close to the original as I could get without scanning.

Kudos to my countryman, the legendary UBL6612's DVD custom cover, for some elements I borrowed and made my own in order to get this cover to work as it should.

Adding Seven Samurai (1954) and have thus covered all of Akira Kurusawa's Criterion Classics. Released on 4K UHD in 2024. The Criterion Collection #2 for film nerds, lol

These are also Custom Replica covers/labels - meaning they are as close to the original retails as I possibly can.

Custom work is somewhat more straight-forward, seeing you can just do what you want, whereas Replica work really lay out some work for you - scrounging the rights fonts, images, and trying to recreate what was originally done, including typography that may itch your OCD in the wrong way. For example hibernating the text blocks. Criterion is notorious in that regard IMHO - I really hate seeing words cut in half, lol

At any rate I have noticed these replicas are somewhat popular, so I'll do my best to fill the Criterion req's - with some custom work in between. Both Merry Xmas Mr. Lawrence and The Irishman are pure custom. I do hope I am not stepping on Curt's toes, lol
