My problem with that option is that I have a hard time understanding the European French accent...
And while I'm here, I watched The Naked Gun with Liam Neeson and would give it a solid 2 as rating. I'm not sure why it rates so high on IMDb, but I strongly disagree with their ratings, lol - Liam Neeson should stay away from comedy. Actually, he should retire.

I completely agree with you. I didn't even laugh once, not even a smile. I actually found it appalling. In short, it was truly awful. The real Frank Drebin must be turning in his grave. Not everyone can be Leslie Nielsen. Besides, I think that kind of humor doesn't work anymore; it was a different era.

I agree with you two, even tho I haven't seen it yet, I'm pretty sure it will have nothing on the original ones. I don't understand why they need to bring these titles back from the dead, instead of starting something new. I guess the next thing we'll get will be a remake of the Police Academy?

Finestkind (2024) 4/10
After watching the trailer for this movie, I was quite intrigued, so I went and gave it a watch. I've seen a lot of Deadliest Catch throughout the years and it's a show I quite like (altho, I just watch it if it happens to be on), and this movie seemed to be going on the same path, at least from the look of the trailer. It did also start of pretty good and was a very decent film for at least half of it, but then as it almost always do, it goes south. It starts of as a "blue collar" kind of movie about fishermen, then they add a little bit of a love story in there and then comes the drugs and lastly the murders. The main cast goes from doing stupid decisions, one after the other which is what makes this movie a "bad one, that I'll never watch again" for me. 4/10 is very kind, or should I say "finestkind" ^^,

Greenland (2020) 7/10
I am a sucker for end-of-the-world themed movies, and with the second part coming out soon, I decided to watch Greenland. And it was quite enjoyable. It is nothing new, or groundbreaking, but it is an enjoyable sci-fi thriller that kept me mostly entertained. This is one of those easy watch movies, that you can enjoy without a lot of concentration. And unlike other movies of this genre, it is fairly realistic. Although I use the word realistic loosely. But it doesn't have planes taking off on exploding runways, or everyday citizens landing on meteors in space. Overall, a good movie to watch after a long day.

Same as you my friends. I remember watching it when it first came out, because I really like Gerard Butler, but I didn't enjoy it that much. The idea was good, but logically speaking, there's little chance they'd all get together after all the adventures they go through in the film. But why not, after all? Besides, I wasn't in the best frame of mind at the time. And like Baz, since the sequel is coming out in a few days, I rewatched it earlier this week. And actually, it works quite well. That 6/10-7/10 rating is also accurate, in my opinion.

I find that Tommy Lee Jones is choosing bad movies lately. I used to watch everything he did, but not so much anymore. So thanks for that review Speed, I will pass yet another one of his movies.
As for Greenland, I really enjoyed this movie. I had it on BR for the longest time but never watched it. Like you guys, I thought it would be time to do so since the new one is coming out soon. I would rate it higher than you guys though.

Eden (2025) - 6/10
After watching the trailer for this film, I thought it would be some kind of horror type movie, kinda like I imagine (Blink Twice) is? (I have only watch the trailer for that film). So I went in, not nothing that it was based on a true story. The movie itself is pretty okay, with it being based on a true story, there's not that much freedom to change things. I can imagine things might have gone down the way they did in this movie, or at least close to it, but it wasn't a thrill for me, just a decent film for what it is. So that's why 6/10. If you'd like to know more about the history or are particularly interested in what happened in "Eden", then I'm sure you'll enjoy this film.

That's too bad because it has a good cast. I don't know the true story of Eden, but the trailer looks good. Is it like a cult?
No, it was basically just a few people who wanted to move away from the "real world" to kinda create their own. And also, someone who wanted to build a hotel.

Warfare (2025) - 4/10
This is a great cover by bojka, and way more than what this movie deserves in my opinion. Even tho something might make a great story, it doesn't make it a great movie. I've just watched Warfare (2025) and I know it's based off of the memory of the soldiers involved, but as a movie, I found this to be really slow the first hour and then the action picked up a bit for the last 30 min. Some of the decisions made and the way things were done, made little or no sense to me.
Spoiler Block
So, the soldiers (main squad) is in a house spotting terrorists in Iraq. After a while, the terrorists manages to throw a grenade inside the house where the soldiers are spotting from, this causes (what seems like a small amount of) damage to the sniper doing the spotting. He has a bit of blood on one of his hands, but seems to be fine otherwise. They call for an extraction, to bring the wounded soldier out, bare in mind that the terrorists knows where they are and are ofc watching them, which makes this a HUGE risk only to extract a soldier who has a small amount of damage to his arm. As the extraction team (tank) arrives, the tank gets shot down while they are extracting, causing the death of one solider and wounding too more (waaay more than just their hand). Also, from the street view as the smoke settles, you can clearly see a tank, just sitting there on the corner of the street right next to the extraction point (not doing anything). They fall back and now they need another extraction as they have two severe wounded soldiers. Eventually, another team of soldiers arrive, they fire a bit back and forth with the terrorists, but eventually manage to extract the two wounded soldiers, as well as some other (for no reason). They fall back in the house and again, they need to get picked up so they can escape. There were plenty of room in the first two tanks that came to pick up the two wounded soldiers (I'm sure if they really wanted to everyone could have escaped right then and there). They shoot some more and wait some more, another set of tanks come to extract them, they all get extracted and it's over. After the dust settles, you can see all the terrorists stepping out in the streets from their vantage points, as well as the family where the soldiers were are realizing that the soldiers are gone and it's safe to go out.
I've watched American Sniper (2014) and that movie was brilliant, also based on a true story and also a "war" movie. This on the other hand, a waist of time and it also seemed like a very unnecessary mission as well as everything that happened just seemed pointless.

I found this movie interesting, but only because it is based on a true story. I was pleasantly surprised.
Finally a movie we dissagree on, but I know why you like it and what you call a "pleasant surprise" it's about 25 min into the movie when a certain someone meets the Wittmers for the first time.

Warfare is another movie that I agree with you on. But I was expecting it to not be great, before I sat down to watch it. So luckily I was not surprised by the disappointment

I watched Interstellar last night, for the second time. Although I knew what was going to happen, it was still an extremely entertaining movie. For me, it is one of those movies that you will remember as a stand-out movie, that I could watch many times. A great story line, special effects and acting will make sure this one will be remembered as a great movie for many years to come. 8.5/10
And this is my favourite cover made for this movie.
