DO NOT use the YouTube 'link' bbcode to post a tutorial video, all videos must be uploaded directly to this site and NOT linked in from other sources as they are just too unreliable and subject to drop off without any notice, there by rendering the post useless.
DO NOT make suggestions for other ways of doing things in tutorial, they are not intended as "discussion topics" that type of thing just confuses the readers who may have limited experience and are just trying to get started.
If you feel a tutorial contains an error DO NOT make a comment in the topic instead send an Admin a PM and we determine if something needs to be changed or updated. If anybody would like to add a tutorial, we would certainly encourage it.
The site must host the images used in the tutorial on the Hirescovers server, that way, as long as this server is up, your images will work, so no off-site links to images please.
Remember to "insert inline" the uploaded file attachments in your post where they should appear in your tutorial.
Take a look at the tutorials here now for examples, contact staff if you have questions they will help you.
If your tutorial is good, it'll probably get a lot of traffic, so smaller sized files will load faster and save bandwidth, you shouldn't need extremely high res images for most tutorials anyway.
Name the files uniquely and use names that make sense, numbering them will help you too, like filename01.jpg, filename02.jpg, filename03.jpg.
If you want to do a Video Tutorial then contact an Admin about submitting it or tell us where you have it hosted and send us the download link in a PM then we can post it to the site for you and set it up in your post to display correctly.
The video encoding we want for HD Tutorials is MP4, we recommend the video frame size be 1280 X 720 to make the most efficient use of quality vs file size.
We look forward to seeing a tutorial from you.
If you would like to see a Tutorial on how to do a specific thing or use a specific tool in Photoshop then you can make a request in the Resource Requests Forum
here and we will try to get something together and posted for you.
Thanks
