In order to bring a little fun and challenge to the site we've decided to start introducing some games, this being the first here's the general idea and very basic rules:-
Introducing - Collaboration - The Hires Cover Game
As the thread title implies we'd like to promote a little collaboration on cover design, so rather than hold a competition were having a game. In essence this idea comes from the old children's game where one child would draw a head on the top of a sheet of paper then fold it to hide what they've drawn and pass it to the next who would draw the shoulders, then on to the next for the belly and so on and so forth - when they're all finished they uncover a horrible new monster to laugh at.
In our version we want the covers to look a little more professional so once a movie title is voted on well pass it through the participants that ask to join the round asking each to add they're own elements e.g. A title treatment, A credit block, A synop, A framework etc. - you get the idea.
The only rule is you can't obscure the work of the previous artist with your own additions, adjust? yes! Cover completely? No!
To kick this off the Master designers have all agree to have a go first to see how we get on and iron out any potential hazards in the process.
To help us out lets have some nominations for the first title, let us know what you'd like to see made - if we get a big response we'll have a vote.
MD's please sign up below for the first round.
