Well, I have been working (slowly) on a few ideas. Tossed some out completely, but some I think are finally nearing completion. This is a cover for an amazing doc that was on PBS a few years back and has won several awards. It is simply astonishing if you can get your hands on a copy (or see it on PBS) you should watch it. But now, for the cover... Anything jumping out at you guys?

Welcome back buddy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif) Only thing jumping out at me at the moment, is the outer glow on the top text, on the back. I would think about rearranging it aswell.

Yeah Bazz, the glow bothered me too, but I tried to match it to the title. It didn't work, so now I have removed that section and tried making Festival style laurels for the awards it has won. I am liking this better. I was also wondering what you all think about maybe grunging it up a bit? Right now it's kind boring, I wonder if adding some breaks, snags and tears along the way might make it pop a little more. Also, since I am a photoshop newbie... How do you do that? Is there a tutorial one of you champions have made about that? Here's the update:

Here's what it would look like with some grunge:

Thanks:

Love the latest update, there's a lot of rivers in your synopsis and the leadings a little heavy too, other than that looks very nice.

I gotcha and agree about the synopsis... But leadings? I'm not sure what that means. Could you help me out on that one? Thanks!

Looks much better with the 'grunge' in the back ground. It breaks it up really nice.

Leading is the distance between the bottom of each line of text, today it's more commonly known as line spacing (sorry I'm old). Usually expressed in points. But know you have made the font bold it works. Nice update BTW.

Thanks Skally... It's not that you're old... It's that I have no idea what I am doing. But yeah, I changed the font, bolded it and made it a littl more legible, which fixed some of my problems. Thanks for your help, and I think I am about done with this one, too. This is what it would look like.
