It will ultimately be much darker and hazier but the idea is to have the manhole ajar with a turtle hand on it, as if he's coming out of the sewer. My problem is with the title treatment. I like it on the manhole but it seems a bit too small that way. Should I just use the other title treatment shown?

Jeez CL i was just looking at manhole covers for some other cover................psychic or what!!!!!!

I think the TMNT on the manhole cover is great and personally i would not worry about the size either...........size is not everything................all the girls tell me that........i wonder why????

I too would not worry about the size of the title treatment. It will work fine as it is. Brilliant idea too... yet so obvious for Teenage Turtles movie! It's one of those ideas I wished I had come up with (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue2.gif) Looking forward to seeing how this one develops. But please keep the title on the manhole cover, and forget the other one.

Ok you guys convinced me to keep it on the manhole. I added an updated version and I think the title treatment looks better now. The top and bottom don't look as bare since its all darker.

Now that is going to be stunning. Only thing at the moment, to me the manhole looks like it is going down, not up?!?!

The perspective on the left needs to be larger then the right.

wicked....I'm impressed already..beautiful concept M8.
got to agree with Bazz, give it a bit of depth seeing the left edge 3D depth style.
and maybe a pavement texture will allow you to go to the darker color sets as well, not many cement roads in my area, but i know they use it everywhere, might be a regional thang.
can't wait to see where ya go with this awesome.

cheers

I didn't really intend on the hatch to be lifted upward. My idea was that it was still lying perfectly flat and the turtle was just sliding it sideways. But I went ahead and adjusted the perspective, gave it some shadow and a wider edge on the left. Does it look better this way?

I added some stuff on the back. I wanted to keep the sewer theme and keep it very simple.

Nice idea from it going from the front to the back which is the bottom of the sewer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

Skally made a new manhole cover that's modeled after the actual one in the film. I'll take his word for it since I haven't seen this movie. Here's mine and his compared.... go with Skally's right?

I like the one on the left....Not sure whose it is, no offense to the right side, it's nice as well, but the left just jumps to me...

I have to go with the right one (just to be different) Whichever one you use will be equally impressive. I would like to see a shadow underneath the manhole cover too, to emphasize the fact it is angled.

Thanks:

Having looked at them both side by side, my gut tells me your original one on the left looks better, I'll re render the one on the right with a more metalic texture tonight when I get back from work to give you another option.

Nice job (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)
