So... I can't even remember the last time I did a cover! Was hoping to see a Christmas theme for the HRC (shame on you CT!) 'cause I've been working on this on the last month.

I know you all like to see what images were used on the cover, so this are the images I used to create the front and the back.

Attached File  Untitled_1.jpg ( 436.84K ) Number of downloads: 3

Front is done, spine will be soon and so far I don't know what I'm gonna do with the back. And that's the reason why I'm posting this as a WIP, I'd like to have some feedback and ideas for the back layout.

It's so great to see you back!!

This design is wonderful, it's already on the way to becoming a new Arkflip classic! 8834.gif

For the title treatment, maybe you can play with the levels/saturation/contrast on the 3d part more to help differentiate the front and the sides a bit further? Currently, on "The" especially, the pieces blend together a bit.

Attached File  ni.gif ( 106.77K ) Number of downloads: 0

For the back design, what you have so far is an outstanding base. One easy finish might be some framed shots with 3d elements added (snow on top of the frames, or some characters popping out, etc.):

I like Tim's title enhancement, I was going to suggest some frames for features and stills styled like the film.

I have these frames in PNG if you want to use them let me know and I'll send them to you.

Neat! One suggestion for the front I have is to add some rimlight to the moon in order to make the Tim Burton signature a bit more visible, something like this:
Attached File  post_3_1575928469.jpg ( 259.77K ) Number of downloads: 0

As for the back: I like the still frames! Haven't seen the film but they look very Tim Burton-esque.

EDIT: only saw now that this was actually ctaulbee's design ^^

Wow, this is such an amazing cover already Ark! A legendary return from a legend.

I would go with Tim's suggestion for the title treatment, adding some depth makes it more readable. And also weyn's suggestion for the reflecting light from the moon.

Keep up the good job!

Thank you all for the great feedback and welcome words.
I'm still messing with the back, testing a few things and came up with this. Not sure if this works or not...

This is a great cover Felipe! 8834.gif

I agree with the suggestions made for the front and back.
The yellow frame you've placed for the specials is too prominent, in my opinion it takes away the attention from your back artwork. If you want to go with something like that I'd use it the same color as you did for the synopsis and try to make it more filigee.

I would go with a mix of bunny and Ct's suggestions. You could use your frame for features, as bunny suggested. And then the frames that Ct suggested for images. As Fidi said, the frame is too distracting from your artwork at the moment 8834.gif

This is looking better.

But now everything is very close to each other (synopsis - specials - yellow bar a Iver digital banner), but around the quote there's a lot of space. Maybe just make the specials box a bit more wide and marginally lower?
