I just noticed that on a few of my covers, the colors on the screen are slightly differnet than what they print out as. Is there an few way to calibrate an LCD screen. or any other ideas how to get the colors closer together?

I tried gamma through the wizard and did not like the out come at all. I'll try it in control panel, and also try a search for a guide. Thanks sauron. The problem is really only with my brownish colors. I had a copper copper color and it printed out with more of a greenish tint.....

Hi Username,

Trust me, I do this sort of thing for a living all day, unless you have £10k spare dont even try to match screen colour to printer colours the technologies are completely disparate, One uses an addiitive colour space the other subtractive the gamuts are just too different.

An inexpensive way to get in the same ball park is this; print off a refernce image from your screen, (I recommend looking for an IT8 test chart) adjust the lighting in your room to match the conditions you would normally print and design in. Then use the monitors controls to make the screen colours resemble what the print looks like. It's easier that way. If your feeling brave I can add a tut on using the ICM control panel and ICC profiles to help but the result probably wont be much better.

Ask Kylumi, he know's I'm right too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

has anyone used one of the Spyder calibration kits? I was looking into getting Spyder 2 Express, but not sure if it is good or not.
