Well, this is what i came up with on the film An Inconvenient Truth. Mind you this is the absolute first cover i have ever made. I'm quite pleased with the outcome of this. Still have a few things to finish on it though.

Well I must say that it looks good for a first!
But there are a few things that I would like to comment on...
The front looks good, maybe a bit empty but it works.
As for the back which is also a tad empty. I'm guessing the synopsis would be very hard to read since I can hardly tell the first red letter. Maybe up the size a bit. And the miramax.com-box is too close to the edge.
But now for my main "point" in the message, the layout on the back is quite boring, and in my own oppinion way to simple.
Try to spiffen it up a bit, resize the synopsis, move it up and then make a "line" or pics separating the synopsis from the credits.
Ah I don't know, it's hard to say what to do when you don't have any idea of how much sources you have to work with.
But anyway, even if you don't listen to what I say it's a good first cover.
Keep it up (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

Thanks for your input!

Yeah, it's quite hard to find resources for this movie, those two pictures is more or less all that I found in a decent resolution, lol.
Im going to make the space-background on the back more defined, adding some stars and such, to make it stand out more.

yes.....................very, very good first (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

This is a documentary.......................it was something i looked at a while ago..........if it were my cover i would make the front title as big as was feasibly possible (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/winking.gif)

try this...........................http://www.climatecrisis.net/downloads/

it has one of my fav images ....................(smoking chimney) dot a few about and broaden your synopsis...

The DVD is packaged to make the smallest possible environmental footprint - it is made of 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, no excess materials, and absolutely no plastics. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this DVD will benefit the bipartisan climate effort, The Alliance for Climate Protection. Also included on the DVD are special features including:

30-minute introduction by Mr. Gore, with updated information
bullet "The Making of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH"
bulletMusic video by Melissa Etheridge: "I Need to Wake Up"
bulletCommentary by Director Davis Guggenheim
bulletCommentary by Producers Lawrence Bender, Laurie David, Lesley Chilcott and Scott Z. Burns

use a few tags................

Larry King called it "One of the most important films ever" and Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com wrote, "It doesn't matter whether you're a Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative...your mind will be changed in a nanosecond."

Red and white would be cool...................make it all big (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)
