I know it's not my best cover (wasn't really interested in the prizes anyway (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) ) but I wanted to try something new on this one. I'm mainly thinking about the star on the the front. I wanted to recreate the star from the movie and I wanted to do it in 3d, which I hadn't tried before (it shows I know). I didn't really have any good images showing how it looked, even tried going through all the dvd frames but didn't find anything good. So I had to do this by feeling. I didn't really have any 3D program or any experience in that area so I decided to make the damn thing in photoshop. I used one images I had of a metallic triangled that I copied and stretched and copied and stretched. In the end the star was 60 something layers that all had different layer options on them. Finished off with some lighting effects and some color touch up. I'm actually quite pleased with the end result since it's the first time I tried it.

I'm really surprised this cover didn't receive more votes ubl. There isn't another hudson hawk cover out there I'd rather use... matter of fact I'll be printing this one out asap. One of my fav movies this, so thanks for doing such a great job buddy. The only reason I can see that you lost votes is the apparent simplicity on the front, and as you just explained that was hardly the case.

It's a shame that the lot of work you put into this cover didn't work out.
Also for me i the front looks to empty.
Worked with Cinema 4D myself, and i know it is frustrating stuff.
But you deserve a (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif) for your effort. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

I'll second that.

I think this cover works really well.
