I feel inspired by all the great old posters being uploaded so i decided to do a cover for Kelly's Heroes. Always thought donald sutherland was great in this. I wanted a army looking color so i lifted one from their uniforms. Not really sure if it looks good though. A camoflauge pattern might look better, though back then they didn't have camoflauge uniforms.

i know it's really early in the wip, but the rainbow is throwing me off, makes me think more of the 60's flower power era Vs army...but then again I can't remember the movie.

I'll have alook at the synop and refresh my memory..lol

cheers

edit: so sutherland plays a hippie style tank comander...guess the rainbow might work...lol
looking forward to seeing this a bit more done.

do a good job now, cause I might just need this cover...lol

cheers

Yeah the rainbow seems totally out of place until you understand sutherland's chracter. He's playing records while riding in the tank. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif)

Did my best on making some tank tread marks for the back, justified the synopsis around it. Will probably add some screens between the tread marks.

looks good so far. maybe add some dirt or a puddle or something around the tracks for some realism, they look too fake the way they are now I think. I like the way the synopsis came out too.

Truthfully i hadn't thought much about the spine besides placing a copy of the title there.
