How does that font mhd suggested work for everyone else?
Here's how I would fix this,
1.Use the Select>Colour range tool with a low bias to select the black and white elements from the front
2.Then paste them on a new layer,
3.Next turn off the visibility of tht e old fron poster layer,
4.Delete the incorrect gradient from the back
5.Make a new gradient fill or perhaps a grunged textures with light to dark gradient layer mask
6.move the layer in point 2 above the new gradient or texture.
7.Sit back open a beer and smile at your fixed cover (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif
That will be far easier than trying to match the exact gradient from the original poster and it gives you choice for a new colour scheme (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif

Does anyone know an easy way to make a silhouette? Say if i find a pic of a palm tree that works how would i make it black and still retain the overall shape and detail.
Trace a path around the object you want in silhouette, then make the seletion and click the add vector mask tool, reverse your selection by holding ctrl+shift+i is you mask the wrong bit:)
