How do i color something total black but you can still se the textures just like if you where coloring something blue, green etc..? i know how to make it black by shifting the type of layer but it's more of a grey color then :(..

You should be able to achieve this fairly simply by desaturating your layer then messing with the levels. image>adjustments>desaturate.... image>adjustments>levels.

you might wanna try the "channel-mixer" and click the "monocrome"-box.
Try adjusting the color-levels and see if you get a good looking b/w pic, after that - if you want that blue-ish tone - you could use either photo-filter or a blue-overlay layer set to "color".

Edit: and you might wanna try and use two different channel-mixer adjustment layers, and use layer mask to do two different settings for the background and the characters..
