Are the footprints too cheesy, even for this movie? I'll probably end up moving them at least.

I like it. I like it alot. I would keep the foot prints too. Can you add a bit of light reflection to the magnifying glass, to make it look more like glass?

The R1 watermark that runs through the preview 8834.gif

Ah crap I didn't see that. I just grabbed the preview pic off my WIP there to save time. I'll replace it.

And I'm still working on the magnifying glass to make it more refracted yet still legible.

Thanks to Bazzah I hopefully made it look a little more like a magnifying glass. Made a few other updates as well.

It really does match the movie though. I think he's going for the floor of the mansion from the movie.

Yeah the mansion floor, that's it. You read my mind....

But seriously...I just wanted an elegant design since that's the impression I get from this film. Its set as this high brow whodunnit in the classic style of Sherlock Holmes, but everyone acts like a buffoon. That's what makes it funny.

I could do something with the gameboard but I think that'd make it a totally different cover. The gameboard is very busy so I don't know how it'd fit with this design. Most importantly, I don't have an image of the game and I'm too lazy to make one....for now at least. If I went that route I'd probably make it the box itself, like my Jumanji and Zathura covers.

Just MHO but I like the look the way it is now. Real classy looking. Nice work CML thumb.gif

The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom; I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh... you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office. That's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.

I think it is working. I like it. Is there a drop shadow on the magnifying glass?

I would love to see a matching box version, to suit your other game covers aswell though winking.gif

I'll definitely do one in the style of the boardgame box too.

Bazzah, yes there is a drop shadow on the magnifying glass but its probably not heavy enough and doesn't have enough distance on it. Do you agree?

Thanks again for those magnifying glass layer files.
