I can't think of anything to say but that it looks great. Wouldn't change a thing.

I think your synopsis justification could be much better. It looks pretty random. What you should do is create a shape layer in that spot. Then you can click on the inside of the shape with the text tool and type your synopsis. It will justify your shape on a perfectly angled line alongside that reddish background.

It looks like you put billing blocks for both movies. I think this is a bad decision especially since one of them is squeezed onto the side like that. Instead I think you should combine the billing blocks. (ex: Studio A/Studio B presents "movie 1" "movie 2"....)

Thanks, JJ and CL, I'll try the shape layer, but not too sure how it'll work.

Ok, tried the shape layer, and can't figure it out, can get a circle, a rectile and square, but no triangles, bugger...

Click on the shape tool. On the left of the icon bar select the paths option. Then select the pen tool and just draw your triangle. Remember to hold down shift when drawing straight lines, that will make it perfectly straight. After making the triangle select the text tool and click in the shape and type. Then go to paragraph pallette and set it to justify last left.

In odd parts like the very tip of the triangle, you may have to delete that text and manually go back and add it on another layer, because the justifying will space letters to spread it to the edges. In the case of single small words, (ex: IN) this looks funny.

Thats why i try not to do any strange angles. It can be a pain to get it right and to me atleast its not that special. To me its easier to just do a square block of text and if theres any space left add a screen cap or something to take up that space.

But then i'm a lazy sob too...(IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif)

Wow, thanks everyone! I'll re-do the text, super tip but, as I've learned in the past I was trying to follow the outline of the cutout, pretty difficult in this case... ok, time to play :cheers

Oh boyyy, just not workin for me all i can get is one line, tried new anchors and get curves in between. lol

why not makes things easier on yourself and make the back a split in half instead of diagonal. Know what I mean? Divide it in half down the middle rather than corner to corner. Just a thought.

yeah, gbk33 I could do that, but then the easy way isn't always the best, then the continuity of the cover as a whole would be wrecked, I'd like some opinions as to weather or not I should give the triagular text a straight line ( not forming to the border) or not, but I still want to figure out How to triangulate the text, I must be missing something in the tip above, and can't find a tutorial on it.

Cheffy just use the pen tool to create a triangular path...then using the text tool just click inside the path and the text will wrap to the shape...

Its simple really (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) if you need more help just let me know.

well that seems to be the problem, when I try to draw the triangle, I can only get one line, so i tried the fre transform pen tool, and got a rough triangle but text won't type inside it.

don't hold the mouse button down just click one corner then click the next corner and so on. To get the text to type inside it needs to be a path.

Yeah with the pen tool you can click to make a point and then click again and it will connect the two. then just keep doing it til you have the shape. Think of it like playing connect the dots.(IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif)

Yep, got the triangle, retyped the text, and can only justify on one side. AAARRGGGHHHH! Guess this stays as is, even tried to convert to shape, but no go. Done tryin, at least for today. I don't get why instaead of forming to the border all the sudden the text is supposed to be straight?
