I couldn't find enough material to use so, I decided to give it a go and creating something new (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

I'm trying to keep it a bit in the style of the van (which was pretty famous too (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue2.gif) ) they drove. It probably needs some bulletholes, so I'll see what I can about that... So far, what I have:

The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom; I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh... you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office. That's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.

looks avarage... I've seen plenty of people using that background now and it's getting old and boring. Try something else... just my opinion.

Great work so far. The hardest cover to make, is one with no material. This is a really good example on how to do it.

I like it, but the diamond plate just doesn't say A-Team van for me. Perhaps a gloss paint job and some dirt masks ?

Well, thnx for the replies and (positive) critiscism (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

As you maybe can see i've allready did an upload (apart from season 5 which hasn't be released? right? ) of the series. For me the diamondplating is just an background and the logo spells A-Team for me (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/winking.gif) It just emphasizes (I hope) the "hardness" of these soldiers of fortune. And also I used the striping from the famous van as you can see in the middle. Granted, it may look a bit "clean", but I don't believe in the over-use of dirtmask, bloodbrushes and incredible-artsy-shapes! (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue2.gif) I can do finely without and I try to apply it when needed. My opinion 'bout cover-design is to make something that you would probably see in the shop or close as, OR a cover that's clear and firm and where you actually READ the back for the synopsis 'n stuff (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

Doesn't mean I always get it right (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue2.gif) I too get carried away sometimes (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue2.gif)

@Squeek: Sure, these sort of backgrounds are probably used a lot, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that I created everything entirely in PS without (for except the pic of the team) any source-art/materiaal from the A-Team itself. And I do think it fits the "scene".

@Skallywag: as I stated here above, I'm not much the type of guy for the use or overuse of dirtmasks or brushed IF I believe it's not needed (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) But thanks for the reply anyway! I really love your work and your pretty good with C4D and you've got interesting idea's that i've seen come forth on some covers (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/winking.gif)

PS: thanks again everyone for the replies! I did it for you (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/winking.gif)
