Thanks:

Some of you may remember this from the old site.

The idea was to come up with a black & white design suitable for putting on to T-shirts, etc., for anyone who fancied having some branded HiRes clothing!!

Well, we think we've found a suitable supplier - so all we need now is a great logo!

So, if anyone has any ideas - post em here. The design just needs to be something suitable for either black on white, or white on black printing.

Here's a quick one I just put together. I know you guys (and gals)can do alot better! (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

I agree with you TS. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif)

That's about 10 seconds in CorelDraw - just to give an idea of the content.

I voted you number 3 in the cover comp - so I'm relying on you! (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

The actual size of the logo needs to be about 10 inches (25.4cms), and the resolution needs to be at least 200dpi.

However, the preview posted on here obviously needs to be smaller than than that. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif)

You mean you are not gonna upload it?

That is a shame - cause it IS a great cover! (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

And I don't do BS!

But if that's your decision - that's cool. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif)

The suppliers call it "direct printing". It is certainly not a transfer.

I'm buggered if I know what that means. I guess it's a computerised version of the silk screen process. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/eek5.gif) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/whistle.gif)

Am guessing it's a form of silk screen printing, did that for YTS when I first started work, many years ago.

I asked the supplier for more details - this is what they said:
"Heat Transfer is as durable as screen-printing, but offers more detail. Heat Transfer uses heat to create a bond between the resin and the T-Shirt, locking the ink between the two layers."

If it's a heat transfer process, can there be more color or is that to keep the cost low?
