i think it looks weird to have in the front only small parts of the plane and the snake. I guess it doesn't work very well because most of the times the cover will be closed and the effect will be lost
The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom; I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh... you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office. That's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.

here: http://snakesonaplane.varitalk.com/ you can have Samuel L. Jackson, call someone's home and give a cool message including yours and the receivers names...worth a look, my brother sent me one and my first thought was "this guy can really do a good mimic"..but I laughed my A$$ off the further it got into it.

Nice looking cover m8, the spine i am still not too sure as the plane logo will lose all of its effect when this cover is sitting on a shelf and will prolly resemble a missile than an airplane....have you tries placing this image on the front lower to replace mr jackson? on a slight slope just as the text is? Leaving you some freedom to spice the spine up with some snakes...theres a nice hi-res image available to make it 'drop' down the spine..might look good when its just sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
Which ever way you go the cover looks good and i am sure if you are like me you will only be happy when you have tried everything suggested or you look at it and think 'thats it' and that really does mean 'thats it' i get that sometimes and when it happens you know no matter wot you do it will never have that certain 'look' again.
I got that when i made Renaissance my first B&W cover.
