Why does there seem to be less and less posters/artwork/resources/covers made for TV series?

Because there are less, the marketing has changed for TV programing.

Unlike film which still has need for promotional/marketing materials, which they distribute to Cinemas, TV is all digital now, also they are less and less concerned with disc releases as TV is mostly all streaming based service now.

Sites like Netflix are no longer interested in "marketing movies or series" they simply "market a service."

Once they have as a subscriber there is little need to do more than make you vaguely aware of new releases because they don't need to pull you away from other networks/channels like in the past, they have it all in one basket and they have you all the time, you see.

So they spend their Advertising budget on marketing "Netflix" and not on the stuff they stream.
