Recently watched this one for the first time and thought it'd make for an interesting cover. Ctaulbee already has a fantastic version in the gallery, which I came across after I'd begun this.

Haven't found too many high quality source images, so have gone with the vector style similar to my Baby Driver cover, only with different colours and more levels.

I was loosely inspired by this Drive poster, which I had saved a while ago and thought was a cool style.

I keep playing with the background, particularly the bridge and the arches in the top corner. I think it frames it nicely, so I do want to keep it, but the colours may be off. I'm working off this source image, flipped: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e4ylr3EeWb0/UhfB...ge1_Blowout.jpg.

Not too sure if I'll stick with the Criterion banner on the front, but I do like the retail layout on the back.

Looks great so far! I've never seen the film but maybe you could introduce another colour like the Drive poster so it's not all red?

Wasn't happy with the background so, after playing around with it a bit, decided to simplify it. Prefer the bridge arch this way, and how it interacts a little with the TT.

I initially created the bottom right image for the back, but I think it works here.

It's wonderful to see you back in action with another exciting, innovative cover!

Your illustrations are so powerful on their own, I think going all-red and the hand-written title might push things too far into terrifying "slasher" territory. Like Sauron suggested, what would you think about bringing in another color and going a bit restrained on the title treatment to add some more contrast?

A quick potential mock-up: (I hope it's okay to adjust your art)

Very good point. I'll have a play around with the layers and see if I can dial it back a little.

Agree on the TT, too.

Thanks Bunny!

Ok, so I've quickly tried a few different combinations of layers set to grey scale. One thing I've done on all of them is mute the saturation somewhat, which I think helps to take it away from the horror look.

Thoughts?

I agree with MM, number 4 works best but maybe increase the saturation a little.

I really like Bunny's suggestion for the TT and colours.

Option 4 it is, then. Just brightened the dark grey tone slightly.

Nice update - only thing I can suggest is to keep everything on the back left aligned so it matched the text alignment on the front, I would nudge the tagline to the left and bring the specification thing in to the right a bit...

Also the line on the top left is a bit distracting, I know it's meant to be a continuation of the front but as there's only one on the back I don't think it's neccesarry.

This looks great! I agree with sauron for the most part, but I think if you're gonna left align the tagline then stretch it out so it fits with the rest of the text (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

Thanks guys.

I originally had the tagline all aligned, but centered it to add the little arch in the top left. Couldn't decide if I liked it or not. Have removed it now and pushed the specs box over too.

It does look better aligned. As for the odd line, you could always add more, instead of removing them, if you wanted to keep that element on the back
