Ok, this one took some time, no hi res stuff at all for this one, all my own...

(IMG:http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4351/thequietearthispt6.jpg) [/img]

I know the first thing u will say is the credits are too big. trust me, searched all day, not even a hi res poster out there, even the ones found were "no res" lol, anyway it even took an hour to find out who made the daggon thing, lol. But I think the end results were worth it.

Very nice chef...

not tpp wild about the Anchor bay logo u have on top of the spine, the same one u have on the back.. the one far left... the color in it sort of sticks out and breaks the feel of the cover... see if u cant find a white or black one and then put the same color as u have on the text on the back on it... the black outline on the DVD logo also sticks out...

I usually go to imdb for my movie information... there or yahoo and ive always found what ive needed to re-create the credits...

logos on the back look a bit uneven in size... maybe loose all the mushroomclouds save one...

and that is about all the pointers i could find... Great cover Joe...

great start Cheffy, make the title on the spine much smaller too, and everything RV said..

I think this would look really good if you can give the background a bit of depth... (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif)

Nice start chef, you might want to try using some cloud brushes on the back to replace the cut out you have over saturn, I think it's smoke.

Moving in the right direction.

Yes... I agree... will bring more life to it... and i'd like to reiterate my earlier comments regarding the DVD-logo(black border) and the colorized logo... they stick out too much

But you are definately on the right track CJ (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumb.gif)

if you would like an honest opinion............i personally think that it may have been easier to produce a cover using your own images..................i know this is a very rare cover.............but, i think you would have made it better as a full custom.

I have searched my data base's to see if i had something to give you but, i don't..................thats how i know it's rare (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/chin.gif) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/whistle.gif)

i was thinking of a lone male sillouette in the foreground............and, an exploding earth in the background.............or something like (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/chin.gif)

uh, this is 98% custom... Can't find a Black and white Anchor Bay anywhere, so made a grey one. I generally do't like "Busy" covers, now this ones headed that way. (busy being too much information, or art, tend to like them cleaner). Can't understand why my hiroshema explosions look like smoke, maybe cause they are the shroom clouds... (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif) Any-wayyyyy

sorry cheffy that mushroom cloud is still not doing anything for me .. I would also take the silhouette of the bloke off... I think Kylumi mean't more as a feature on the front page, but if you are not going to do that then I wouldn't bother.

Is the mushroom cloud a brush or a cutout? maybe a thicker fuller darker mushroom cloud would look better rather than a thin small one?

I also think the title on the spine still needs to be smaller and thinner..

Nice start Cheffy (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) and if you listen to the tips you have been getting it could be really good, just needs a bit more work.

Complete New work up, trashed most of the old.

The stroke on the spine appears heavier than the main title, but in a larger viewq they equal out, and look much better than plain gray.

Id blur the silouhette of the guy a bit... the edges... to make him look more dreamlike...

there is a defined line in the blue cloud in front of the guy... needs to be faded so its not a sharp edge...

not too wild about your inner drop shadow on the logos... too much of it on the spine imo.

And I looked.... I cant find a B/W logo for Anchor bay either... speaking of which I think that logo looks a bit bigger than the rest on the back...

On the cloud u've made across the cover... use more than 1 cloud brush to make it look more natural... give it more life...

And the funny thing is that Amazon is advertising a mini movie poster for quiet earth underneath your cover as i type this... good product placement that (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

u got the ball rolling CJ... keep at it.... looks good
