we have all seen films that stretch the imagination, and at some point thought 'yeah right,as if that would ever happen'

this week on brit tv is the film 'THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL' for those of you who dont know,it's about a german Dr. - a post war nazi, who has cloned 3 boys from the dna of Adolf Hiltler.its almost 30 years old,and at the time seemed really implausible, but as we know today we're not to far off the science that would allow this.

another one i remember and laugh about now is the scene in BLADE RUNNER where deckard is inspecting a photo, and telling the machine to pan left, zoom, enhance ect. i remember thinking at the time that it was impossible and would never happen..now what do we all do?

does anyone else remember stuff they found too far fetched at the time, and is now a reality? (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/chin.gif)

Thanks:

yes I can remember when we used to sit in the cold and the dark and someone would talk about creating something that would give off both heat and light...... we all thought he was a nutcase....but low and behold a little while later he was busy at work cracking stones together and he created what he called fire....

and the bastard has been living off the royalties ever since...

I remember watching that movie about the bloke who gets a pc and the pc falls in love with lady downstairs playing the cello and the pc took over his life and cut up all his credit cards, I wanted a pc then to order pizza, but our house wern't big enough, now that the pc comes in house size's the pizza delivery place is to far away.

I also remember going out to play when I was little and if I was late back for dinner you had to heat it up on a pan of hot water, or stick it in the oven for a while, there wasn't any of them machine that nuke your dinner

FIREFOX is just about to start on tv...which brings me to another.
if you havn't seen it clint eastwood steals a top secret plane from a russian air base that is controlled by thought.
yeah right !!
then a few years later the yanks were showing off pilots helmets that can lock on and launch missiles just by looking at the target.you still have to press fire, but it's not a million miles away. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/chin.gif)
as i remember they brought it to England to show it off at an air show and someone stole it from the display tent(a russian probably) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif)
