Would you print a cover if the base colour was red?

I don't think I worded the response options too well & think I'm not getting the response I was trying to get. So I've reworded it here because I can't edit them.

a. i'd print without even thinking about it.

b. only if it was a long way better than any other one. if there was one not as good, but not by that far, i'd bypass yours & print that because of the red ink usage.

c. Begrudgingly if there was no other hi-res covers available.

d. I would never print it no matter what.

I don't see any problems with printing a red cover... but as with any cover I would only print of what I considered to be the best (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif)

Thanks for the quick reply lulubelle.

From your answer I think I should stress the "by far" a little more in the poll.

Edit. Look like I can't edit the poll options :O Oh well.

Can,t seem to change your poll options swampy, sorry about that.

What is wrong with the color red?Sure you don,t see an awful lot of red (based)retail covers but shoudn,t be a problem.More people should do red based covers otherwise all the other colors will gang up on red & it will be really miserable.
Probably people doing illegal stuff won,t want it as wastes too much ink - nothing to do with cover composition ect Swampy.I say go with what you like & if people want it they will d/load it.

If the cover is high coverage, what difference does the colour make?

High use of M+Y vs CM or CMYK make no odds ink costs are all pretty similar anyhow.

I choose the cover I like best. I would only consider ink use a factor if all those available were crap then I'd stick with the retail or make my own replacement.

However if your asking will the use of a red as a backgtound colour affect my choice of this cover vs another I'd have to see the others (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) This one will certainly stand out.

Am not terribly bothered what colour the cover is, I just choose the one that screams at me "CHOOSE ME" (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8824.gif) , now if it had boobies on then I could'nt give a toss if it screamed at me or not

Update. Nearly complete, just need to play with the color or the "LITTLE" a bit I think.

(IMG:http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/9870/littlemanpreviewhc8.jpg)

Once complete I'll do a quick transfer to white background for those who want to save ink. Perhaps I won't upload it here though out of respect to Sauron as I've just noticed he's been posting one in here too.

Cheers

swamp

ps. If anyone can tell me/point me to a link, how to more effectively wrap text around the border of a picture whilst using full justification I'd appreciate it.

Ok, here they are done.

I've uploaded them to the site already.

Cheers for the support on the red variant.
