Was able to find a hi res pic of the dhrama logo for this. Not really sure about the background. I was going for a metal look with dried sand or dirt on it. The rest of it i think looks good. Any suggestions for me?

I would prefer it a little bit more than this (quicky).

Yeah i really didn't like the background either. If anyone could give me advice on how to make the background i wanted i'd apreciate it. I wanted a metal look with sand or dirt on it. Like the wall of the bunker on the show.

Ok grabbed a few textures from the site you suggested lulu. I used four different textures,of which i think the first is my favorite. I'm trying to make it look as if you're seeing at a wall of the shaft for any familiar with the show. Only thing i still don't like is that the logo still dosen't really meld into the back ground. It just sits on top of it.

Here are all 4 i've done, which texture do you all think looks best?

I like the second one JJ .. but you are right the logo just sits there.. maybe you should have it as an overlay / multiply or screen layer so it picks up the background textures.

Have to agree with Lulu there, second one looks best but looks like it is just sitting on it, perhaps some kind of 'wear and tear' might look good. Might look a little odd with a perfect image on a worn metal background.

I wanted to find a worn looking logo but all of them were super low res. This one was actually really good but its too perfect looking. Maybe i could try making it look faded out like its been there a while. I'd like to make chips of it missing but i'm not sure how to make it look like its really chipped. It would come out looking fake.

if you put the rusted metal effect over the top of the logo layer and use play with the layer types i.e. screen/multiply/overlay etc you can make it pick up the logo and look worn and rusted like the metal.

Just play around with that and the transparency, it can work really well.

I set the logo layer to overlay and reduced the opacity to 60%.

I added a few logos to finish it out. Added the Dharma logo to make it seem as its a product of theirs.

I think i'm finished if nobody else has a suggestion.

only thing I would suggest JJ is that you get rid of the white hole in the middle as labels are not allowed to be uploaded with them on.

Other than that really great job!
