I have many layers, several which are combined to create an effect. I sometimes like to change the color of these layers so I know which ones go together. As of right now I only know how to change the layers color through layer properties one at a time. Is there a way to select several layers and change them all to one color at the same time?

one option is to go the layer that is the 'top' of the layers you whish to adjust, and go to layer>new adjustment layer > .... and select the method that best suits you purpose (eg hue/saturation, selective colour etc) and make your modifications. this will then affect each layer below your adjustment layer.

Ok if I've understod this correctly did you mean the color of the layer in the layer window (e.g. red, orange, yellow etc). If so the only other way I know is to group the layers by control clicking on each one and then using the tab at the top of the layers window and selecting 'New Group from Layers', a box will open and ask you to name the group and you can choose a color from there, it is important that if do this you leave the mode as 'Pass Through'. Sorry I can't be of more help. (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)
