OK!!! I noted the comments and made some changes... How is it looking now? Don't worry about it looking jagged in some parts, that's just due to the preview., the full size version is perfect quality...

Boney, I'm a secret fan of the puzzle filter too (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

Knocked this up quickly for you to give you some idea's on improving this concept a little (hope you don't mind):-

(IMG:http://img414.imageshack.us/img414/5236/puzzlebird9yy.jpg)

Varying the heights of the pieces and moving the bits rather than removing them helps the effect more.

Keep at it, already looking better without the red background.

Is this puzzle filter included with PS CS or is it a third part add-on? It's rather cool. I'm not home at the moment so I can check to see.....

It's called puzzle pieces from AutoFX Software. But there are a number that all do pretty much the same.

I think the background color underneath the puzzle doesnt work. Maybe a lighter color with the shadow effects that skally used on his missing pieces in his example. A little added depth. (nice pic by the way skally!)
