One mouse I can tell you NOT to get, is Logitech® MX™1000 Laser Cordless Mouse. It would be a great mouse, but randomly jumps to the bottom of the screen. Logitech are aware of this, but have not created any drivers to solve this issue.

My mouse am sorry to say I bought for a pound, in a local cheapo shop, and I only bought it, because it came with a lovely donald duck mouse mat, which I gave away for a chrismas present, but having said that, its the best mouse I have ever had, plus it's got mickey mouse all over it. I have more expensive mice ina draw waiting to be thrown out, cos there not as good as my old mickey. Sorry I know this doens't answer your question, but I just wanted to share this useless information.

I use the Optical M$ Intellimouse explorer 3.0
Got it as a christmas present 2 years ago and have never looked for another mouse since! It has 2 extra buttons on the side that you can use to click backwards and forwards in windows and on web pages.
It's also really comfortable to use!

Of all the things I dislike about Microsoft I do have to say that their Optical Mice are the best for performance and comfort AND they come with a 5 year warranty (UK at least).
I have their Intellimouse Explorer with 5 customisable buttons.

I'm currently using a nYko Air-Flo mouse.

It's a normal USB/PS2 optical wheel-mouse, EXCEPT, it has rubberised grips on top and sides, all of which are ventilated/cooled by a multi-speed fan built inside the body of the mouse.

It also looks cool, in black and silver...

Best mouse choice I've made in years.

lmao at narchy's mouse... I suppose your hand may need cooling if you are doing something that would cause enough friction on the mouse for it to get hot (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif) (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/chin.gif)

I have a Kensington Pilot Mouse Mini wireless and it is great, it too has rubber sides and top but alas..no fans to keep my poor lil hands cool (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/shrug.gif)

interesting that nobody here uses a trackball or a tablet... Im leaning towards trying out a tablet... see if i can try it out first before I buy it as some of them are rather pricy...

I use an old MS intelimouse optical. The old white and gray ones. Wish they still made them. The newer ones don't have the buttons in the same place which i've always found to be prefectly placed. I may check ebay to see if i can find any that are still new.

I hate changing mice/keyboards. They always have a different feel then you're used to. Its like wearing a new pair of shoes.

Ive actually borrowed a Wacom Penpartner to try out but it takes some getting used too (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/winking.gif) , dunno what resolution the penpartner I have operate at but it's a bit shaky at times... Im off to China after the summer on a buisness trip and will see what I can pick up when Im in Hong Kong. They're a bit on the pricey side of things here in Sweden when you take into consideration that I only do this for fun.
