I think the best look is to scan some real leather and use that, but it helps if you have some leather or a scanner, a bonus if you happen to have both (IMG:http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif)

I just had a look at what I got and found this

dunno if it be any good for you though, can't work out if its leather or not on my screen, but its defineatly a fabic of some sort.

Mayang's (as Bazzah has linked) is the best place for hi res leather, thats where I got the background to my Interview with a vampire cover. It is a really good site for backgrounds.

yea, if you can't find black leather, just about any color will do. Just change it using the manual hue/saturation settings.
