I've this basically completed, but I wanted to see some options I could do for the front cover just to add a little to it more, and what limited materials I currently have for overlays and stuff I thought maybe adding a little fog to the bottom, thoughts? First pic is with the fog added and the 2nd just plain. What do you guys think?

The fog brings something extra, but it looks a little too much like skies than fog atm, imo. Nice start tho 8834.gif

If you're trying to add more interest at the bottom I'd try centring the title at the bottom and then enlarge the people a bit to make sure there's not too much empty space at the top.
Not sure if it'll work out but worth a try?

I didn't like how it really looked with the title at the bottom, so I thought about adding the fog into the mix.

I'm not fond of the fog myself, you should consider maybe a tag line there or cast names, something like that would be better IMO 8834.gif

I am not fond of the fog either. At first I thought it was supposed to be water tongue.gif And now the fog is too heavy.

I agree about the fog, it's not really fitting into the image.
And I also agree with zorbics suggestion about the title, centered at the bottom it won't look as out of space as it's at the moment.

With the title at the bottom you could darken it behind a bit, what would be better then the bright fog in my opinion.

And at the top you can add the actors names and/or a tagline.

Fidi nailed it on all points.

The studio did the top placement but they made the title much bigger and centered, so I suppose one could follow that lead but the small offset title at the top does look odd.

I agree with all points above, before reading them I was going to say the title needs to be more visible, Dora is easy to read but the rest blends into the background.

I have a few basically moved the title around, First one I left the title on the top, spaced it out more like the retail version.
2nd one moved the title down zoomed in more on the characters and placed some names on top.
3rd one title is just spaced differently on the bottom.

I like the middle one, could be a little darker behind the title perhaps.

This is what I have for the whole cover, My biggest issue was the Synopsis at the top, my son suggested adding the Green wood frame up top so, I did it for now. Over all, I'm still happy with the results.

It’s looking a lot better but I feel the special features title and the text are too hard to read, the title because of the yellow stripe behind it and the text because it’s green in green.

The synopsis is too cramped in the corner, it needs some breathing space around the edges and the leading increased (spacing between each sentence).

What sairon said. The synopsis needs a lot more space.

For the front I agree with ctaulbee, behind the title it should be darker to make the title more visible.

I'd also add a vignette on top behind the actor's names (as you did on the first image in post #12 behind the title). The names are better visible with a darker background as well and you can remove the drop shadows from the names then.

I changed the whole background on the back, Took Boots from the other and added him, The Synopsis seems to do better on this than they other and doesn't get lost so easily. made a few more adjustments to colors and text to help them to be more readable.
