Any one know a quick way of recoloring this spider-man?
Or know of one/already has one?
I'm doing it the hard way as we speak, but it's so time consuming.

There are loads of images of him in a similar position, why not go with one of them?

Don't think there's a quick way when it comes to coloring 8834.gif

What's the "hard way" you're going for currently?

The simplest one I can think of would be to do giant layers of red and blue, then use a thin white brush for all of the dividing lines. It's still time-consuming, but it's easier than trying to individually trace each square in red and blue.

The only other suggestion that comes to mind is not to confine yourself to "Color" blending mode. Using a light layer on "Overlay" or adding some contrast to the final colorizing can help to make things a bit less flat.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The way i'm doing it now is exactly as you described Bunny Dojo. The reason as to why i'm using this exact picture is because:
1. He has to be in the air.
2. I've already used five other pictures of him.
3. I want it to be from/for Spider-Man 3 and not 1 or 2.
4. I just placed the black one on my cover to see how it would fit and i was quite happy with the result.

Edit:
The problem with the picture is that the lines are already too similar to the suit so I couldn't manage to separate them by trying various extracting methods.

The coloring part isn't the problem, it was just freeing the lines from the suit pattern that was. Been working on it for quite a while now and i must say that i think it looks very good.
Here's just an update on it:

this is good work, i think worthy of the time spent, sometimes thing can only be done "the hard way" for the best results, you'll be proud in the end.

It took me at least three hours (non stop). Might even been taking longer as well. At the beginning it was really boring and i didn't really see any progress. I always had this thought in the back of my mind (am i really going to spend all this time on something that might not even look good and that i can't use). After doing it for a while, it became like a routine and i was pretty much going on auto-pilot. I know now that it's worth it, you just gotta take your time and be patient with it.

edit: Oh and before anyone else starts doing this, I just wanted to let you know that i'll probably upload the finished result in the movie resources section. Didn't do a good cut out tho, but adding a white background should clear that up.
