I uploaded some covers and labels today but mistakenly uploaded an incorrect label. icon_cry.gif
I have done this before but it was not caught. Fortunately I was able to replace the image myself after it was approved.
This time the incorrect label was caught and rejected with a request to upload the correct one.

There must be an easier way ! icon_eek.gif
If your upload procedure had the ability to delete or revise an uploaded image it would have saved you, and me, a lot of time.

Thanks.

If your cover or label is rejected you can replace the image which will then re-add it to the approval queue.

Here's the rule for rejections...

12. Uploads will be rejected for incorrect dimensions, poor quality, images stretched out of proportion, incorrect movie information (including credits, web addresses, running times, logos etc), typos (including spelling and grammar mistakes), illegible text. These are the main reasons for rejections. Any rejected image will have an explanation on why it has been rejected. If you are unsure on how to fix the issue(s), please post it in the WIP forum. Once you have finished editing your image, please use the 'replace file' from the gallery to update. Your cover will then be resubmitted for approval.

Sorry, I don't understand what the problem is? You want to delete the "wrong upload"? it was rejected, so it's already deleted. You want to upload the correct label? Just upload the label again.

Hi,

I"m the one that rejected your label. This is the reason that I gave you:

QUOTE
HI.. This is a season 1 label. Could you replace with season 2. Thanks

So you uploaded the good label without going through the "Replace File" option. The rejected label is not deleted (as you think it is) and is still waiting for you to replace it.

So.... now that you uploaded (I believe, with frustration) the good one, I will now delete it in the rejects so you do not have 2 labels of season one but tagged for season 2.

You miss the point. icon_neutral.gif
Yes I know I accidentally uploaded the incorrect label, I realized it when I got to the window where I fill in the info about the cover or label.
At this point it would have been nice if I was able to delete it or re-upload the correct label thereby avoiding it having to be rejected in the first place.

You can only do this once the image has been approved or rejected. I personally thing being able to change it before it's been checked over by staff could cause all sorts of mess.

So you would rather check an incorrect label rather than a correct one ?
What does that gain you and how would it lead to a mess ?

It's not that it would create a mess, it's about access, the approval system is custom here and once a item is "in approvals" the only members who have access to those files are staff for obvious reasons.

When a item is approved or rejected then it is moved to public access so it can either be replaced if it is rejected or downloaded if it is approved.

In order to accommodate what you suggest would require you to have access to files "inside approval" and that is not possible as the system is currently coded.

We appreciate your input and it will be considered, we give all feedback due consideration.

I can't give you a definitive it will or will not be done at this time because a decision will have to be made as to whether the time and effort required to re-write the code to accommodate this would be worth the gain it would add as there is no simple way to just change a setting and allow it.

Again thanks for your input.
